Paul C. Raymond III
Vice President, Hercules Incorporated
President, Paper Technologies and Ventures Group

 


A native of Midland, Texas, Paul received his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from Rice University in 1984 and his PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1989.

Upon graduating from the University of Texas, Dr. Raymond joined General Electric as a process engineer with GE Plastics. He became an advanced process engineer in 1991 and regional product leader in 1992.

In 1994, GE asked Dr. Raymond to become manager for its polycarbonate technology operation in Europe. He then moved to Japan and became General Manager of Technology for Plastics in 1996. He was promoted to Technical Director at GE’s Central Research facility with responsibility for corporate R&D for GE’s Plastics and Lighting businesses and environmental sciences.

In 2000, Dr. Raymond left GE for Honeywell International as its Vice President, Global Operations, Honeywell Electronic Materials in Sunnyvale, California. Two years later he became Vice President and General Manager.

Dr. Raymond joined Hercules Incorporated in January 2005 as Vice President, Hercules and President, Pulp and Paper Division.  He assumed his current position in January 2006.
