Brunswick Facility to Be Featured on History Channel

WILMINGTON, DE, July 26, 2007
. . .
More than a century ago, the first commercially viable process for the recovery of rosin and turpentine from pine stumps became reality in the southeastern region of the United States. Located in an area known for its Southern Pine forests, Hercules’ Brunswick, Georgia production facility, which transforms abandoned tree stumps into specialty chemicals used in countless consumer products, will be featured on The History Channel’s Modern Marvels television show. The episode entitled “Sticky Stuff” airs July 30, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. EDT (consult local listings.)

The rosin and terpene derivative products manufactured at the Brunswick facility are marketed to the key industry segments of food, personal care, construction, and specialty solutions, which are served by Aqualon, a business unit of Hercules Incorporated.

The Specialty Resins product group, a significant part of Aqualon’s Specialties Solutions,  focuses on delivering premium performance in adhesive, beverage, construction, food, fragrance, and a variety of other unique applications.
