WILMINGTON, DE, October 23, 2007 . . . The Paper Technologies and Ventures group of Hercules Incorporated (NYSE: HPC) will celebrate the opening of its Shanghai Technical Center (STC) on Wednesday, October 24, 2007. A full day of activities is planned including the formal dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony. Following the dedication, guests will be invited to participate in open house tours of the facility.

“The opening of the Shanghai Technical Center is an important milestone for us,” noted Paul Raymond, President, Paper Technologies and Ventures. “The Center will be the primary headquarters for the Paper Technologies and Ventures Group in Asia and underscores our ongoing commitment to provide localized customer services in this key papermaking region of the world.”

Built adjacent to the Hercules manufacturing facility, the STC will also include a state of the art training facility and office space.
