Due to the rapid increases in energy, food, raw material, and transportation costs, effective July 1, 2008, or as contracts allow, Aqualon will increase prices by $0.15/lb for low- and medium-viscosity grades and by $0.20/lb for high-viscosity grades worldwide for Aqualon® carboxymethylcellulose.

Aqualon to Increase Hydroxyethylcellulose Prices
April 4, 2008 ... Effective May 1, 2008, or as contracts allow, Aqualon will increase worldwide prices by $0.20/kg for low viscosity and $0.30/kg for high viscosity Natrosol® hydroxyethylcellulose, Natrosol® Plus modified hydroxyethylcellulose, Natrosol® FPS fluidized polymer suspensions, and Natrosol® PHARM hydroxyethylcellulose supplied to the coatings, construction, energy, pharmaceutical, personal care, and specialties industries.
