Hercules Completes Integration of Pinova
Adhesive Resins Into Aqualon
January 26, 2007...Hercules Incorporated today
announced that it has completed the integration of its Pinova product
line (formerly Hercules Resins) into its Aqualon business unit. Pinova’s
wood rosin and polyterpene-based tackifiers for the adhesives markets
will continue to be manufactured in the Brunswick, Georgia facility.
Aqualon’s global reach and complimentary technologies will help ensure
continued success for these products and innovative solutions for
adhesives customers. The combined business will operate under the
Aqualon name.
“For years, the Aqualon and Pinova businesses have
been very successful in innovating for their customers, consistently
bringing new functional technologies to the industries they serve.
Pinova’s line of wood rosin derivatives and polyterpenes for
tackification, combined with Aqualon’s excellence in cellulose gums and
derivatives means that we can bring a more complete package to the
adhesives market,” said Dan Keidel, Business and Market Manager for
Pinova and the new adhesives group within Aqualon. “A complete package
and market-based approach allow us to focus on our customers’
applications, not just our products. Technology and strategic innovation
will be the key focus for the adhesives group”.
The new adhesives group will serve customers from
the nine major manufacturing locations in Asia, Europe, and North
America.
Aqualon is the most diverse cellulose ether
manufacturer globally and serves the food, personal care,
pharmaceutical, energy, adhesives, and coatings markets. |
