Aqualon to Increase Hydroxyethylcellulose Prices

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE, April 4, 2008 . . . Effective May 1, 2008, or as contracts allow, Aqualon will increase worldwide prices by $0.20/kg for low viscosity and $0.30/kg for high viscosity Natrosol® hydroxyethylcellulose, Natrosol® Plus modified hydroxyethylcellulose, Natrosol® FPS fluidized polymer suspensions, and Natrosol® PHARM hydroxyethylcellulose supplied to the coatings, construction, energy, pharmaceutical, personal care, and specialties industries.

Despite significant cost reduction initiatives, this increase is necessary to recover escalating raw material and transportation costs so that Aqualon can continue to invest in new production capacity and R&D to support the growth of its customers.
