Aqualon to Increase Carboxymethylcellulose Prices

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE, May 23, 2008 . . . Due to the rapid increases in energy, food, raw material, and transportation costs, effective July 1, 2008, or as contracts allow, Aqualon will increase prices by $0.15/lb for low- and medium-viscosity grades and by $0.20/lb for high-viscosity grades worldwide for Aqualon® carboxymethylcellulose. Aqualon will also increase prices by 0.10 Euro/kg for Blanose® carboxymethylcellulose. These increases apply to all grades supplied to the coatings, construction, energy, personal care, and specialties solutions industries.
