To: Hercules Retirees and Other Former Employees

Change to Payroll Provider & Benefits Call Center

Hercules is partnering with Ceridian Corporation to provide Human Resources payroll and benefits call center services. You are receiving this letter because we want you to know about changes that will affect you.

Here are the key points of what this change may mean to you:

  • Ceridian will be our new payroll provider starting in September. Most retirees will see this change with their September 30, 2007 pension payment. By October 2007 all retirees will receive their pension checks from the new provider, Ceridian.
     
  • The relatively few retirees and other former employees with medical coverage who are currently billed by CIGNA will be billed by Ceridian beginning with the payment due October 1, 2007. (Note to BetzDearborn plan retirees: You have been billed for your health coverage, but for your convenience, beginning with your October pension check your premiums will be directly deducted unless premiums exceed your pension.)
     
  • A key benefit of this new provider is a Customer Service Center with “live” customer representatives answering the call, a feature that does not exist today. The phone number remains the same: 1-877-HERCBEN (1-877-437-2236). There will be new, longer hours of operation from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. The Customer Service Center is the way you can easily update your personal information, such as address, banking arrangements, life events that affect benefits, etc.
     
  • Look for a new item on your first Ceridian pension statement—your Employee Identification number. You should have this number on hand when calling the new Customer Service Center. If you don’t have your Employee Identification number when you first call the Service Center, for your security you will be required to answer identifying questions before you will be told your number.
     
  • You also may handle these transactions online at https://hrinfo.ceridian.com/hercules/. Your login for this is the same as for the Customer Service call-in center. Your User ID is your 6 digit Employee ID number and your initial password is the last 4 digits of your Social Security number. You will be asked to change your password at login.
     
  • Please note that if you change your banking direct deposit in the future you will receive one or two “live” checks before the new direct deposit begins.
