Hercobond™ dry strength additives
Ashland offers papermakers a broad selection of dry strength additives that enhance the end-use performance of packaging, printing and writing, and tissue and towel grades. In addition to enabling papermakers to manage the required dry strength characteristics of their products, these additives also allow them to develop new paper grades and, in many cases, to improve the operating efficiency of their paper machines.
Marketed as Hercobond dry strength additives, Ashland’s dry strength product line, which is the widest product range available in the paper
industry, includes a variety of natural and synthetic products with varying molecular weights and charges, including anionic, ampotheric and cationic polyacrylamides; cationic glyoxylated resins; and modified polyamines.
All Hercobond products are in liquid form, are easy to use and require only a simple metering skid to feed the product. The products can be used individually or in combination to provide unparalleled levels of dry strength that enable papermakers to meet their strength and productivity needs.
